Replace keeps the file it displaced. If putting the original back fails, the backup stays where it is instead of being deleted with its folder, and backups left over from an earlier session now go to the Trash rather than being removed for good.

A move to another disk that copied everything but could not remove the original now keeps the complete copy and tells you the original is still there. It used to throw the complete copy away and copy the half-removed original again, then report success.

A copy that hits an error stops at once and names the real cause, a full disk included, instead of retrying the same write forever or being reported as stuck.

New File can no longer empty a file that already exists under the same name in a different capitalisation, and Undo of a paste that both moved and copied puts back the originals that Replace displaced. Replace refuses a batch that contains two items with the same name and asks you to pick Keep Both.

Dragging files inside SADFinder now does what Finder does: a drop on the same disk moves, a drop on another disk copies, Option forces a copy and Command forces a move. The cursor shows the operation that will actually run, in windows and on the desktop.

Shift with the arrow keys extends or shrinks the selection in List and icon views, from the item you anchored on, the way it does in Explorer and Finder.

An informational message such as "Copied 3 items" no longer throws away Undo for the move or paste before it. Only a permanent delete or a new undoable operation replaces it.

A temporary problem on the licence server (a rate limit or an internal error) no longer locks a licensed SADFinder out. Your cached licence keeps working and the check retries on its own.

Closing the setup window with its close button now counts as Skip: your choices are kept, SADFinder opens, and setup does not come back on the next launch.

Folder-size calculations stop when you navigate away, and stale sizes refresh a few folders at a time only when the Size column shows them. Usage history is written only when it changed, so an idle Mac no longer gets a write every minute.

Copying or moving files no longer holds up the rest of the window. While a paste is still copying, a clip off a camera card, say, switching to another tab, opening a folder, renaming or creating a folder all go ahead. They used to sit on a spinner until the last byte landed.

Transfers now run on their own lane, apart from the one that lists folders, reads the sidebar and counts items. A batch still copies in order and finishes as a whole, and the progress card stays on screen in every tab of that window until it is done.
